Hi there,
I have recently bought a HP CX 0990NL, in the last month the duration of the battery is dramatically diminuished.
I've run both HP PC Diagnostic and HP support to have information about the battery life and they both show it in good health (93%) even if the effective duration is about 3 hrs in battery saver mode, while it us supposed to last ten hours,
Another interesting fact is that I do not see the remaining time when pointing the battery icon in the taskbar, just the percentage,
Thank you
HP Pavilion x360 14-dh0101ne have how many RAM slots?
Hi,
I have use the HP Support Assistant on my lap top to update everything to the latest. Unfortunately, it still shows the same error when trying to burn a disc (tried with different brand new discs). It does not solve the issue.
I will contact you to find out if you had any answers on the photo I just sent. I dismantle everything to see the back of the motherboard but I am unable to locate the different components. Thank you for enlightening me on the subject.
The processor and memory are soldered on and are under that big bare metal panel. Nothing you can do with that. It is what it is.
Hey guys, I bought my au620tx back on 4th September 2017, it has an i5-7200u with 940m and 8GB ram. It's been quite some time and now I think I want to upgrade the RAM to 16 GB if possible and replace HDD with SSD or put in an SSD in m.2 slot if it has one. I've never opened the back of my laptop and want to know out of everything I mentioned, what all things are possible?
You are right.
Thank you for all the answers you gave me.
Thanks so much for your reply! I have an unneeded 8GB DDR4 2666MHz SO-DIMM on hand. If I installed it, would the computer adjust it down to 1866MHz and would it be safe?
Also, if I installed the 2666MHz SO-DIMM, I'm assuming I would need to remove and not use the SO-DIMM that comes with the unit because they're different speeds. Is that correct?
Thanks again so much for your help!
Dear community,
I've recently stumbled upon a problem with my Zbook studio G5. I've got a wireless logitech mouse with a USB dongle. It works completely fine, without any lag occuring, when plugged in to one of the two USB ports.
However, when the other USB port is used by whatever device (storage, keyboard etc.), the laptop doesn't get a signal from the mouse every second or so (so no scrolling/moving/otherbuttons). It makes the mouse unusable, which is quite frustrating.
I allready checked all drivers, both from the mouse, the other USB devices, and the USB drivers themselves, but they were all up-to-date.
I hope somebody can help me out on this.
Hi:
Below is the link to the crucial memory report for a similar model to yours...
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/pavilion-x360-14-dh0101tu
2 slots, each can take 2 x 16 GB of memory.
Here are the specs for the 0101tu and yours...
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06309307
https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c06435543
Here is the link to the service manual...
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06263217
The manual states the max memory is 2 x 8 GB, but Crucial is almost always right.
Hi:
All processors since the Intel 5th gens are integral parts of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the system board with one listed in your notebook's service manual that may come with a better processor.
You are welcome but in this Community if the answer is right you should accept as solution as this helps others searching for answers on the internet. Sorry there is not much you can do with your laptop its made more like a cell phone which I am sure helps keep the price down for educational buyers.
I believe you can go ahead and install the 2666 module with the existing module and both will run at 1866. This is a guess on my part since the Manual does not specifically say so but HP provides 2666 modules on many of its laptops that downclock it significantly. So it is a very educated guess.
Here is the Service Manual:
Start on p. 29 to remove the rear panel. Be careful with the rubber strip because if you stretch it out it will never fit back in the channel right.
M.2 slot circled in red
It may seem unnecessary, but please open the laptop and examine before you buy anything. This model series has a very high chance of a "missing" M.2 slot shown above in which case you have to get a 2.5 inch SATA SSD instead to upgrade. Even if the slot is there it can only work with a SATA M.2 not the faster NVME kind.
Max RAM is 32 gigs or 2 x 16 DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM. 2 slots so to have 16 gigs just add another 8 gig module.
You may find the memory already in place is DDR4-2400 and if so that is what you want to buy for upgrade.
I'm sure this much info raises other questions so I will wait for your post-back.
Thank you very much
Take it back
You're very welcome.
