My laptop no longer charges, and I do not believe it to be due to a faulty power adapter or battery pack.
I opened my laptop yesterday to find that it would not power on, even after plugging the charger in for an hour. The battery is not the issue since even with it removed and the laptop then plugged in, the laptop refused to turn on. HP Spectre x360's are known to have a motherboard issue when it comes to this problem and I sincerely believe that to be the case. I purchased this laptop in December of 2017 and no longer have the warranty, which expired early January of this year. I paid a hefty amount for a beautiful and efficient laptop that has served me exceptionally well throughout undergrad and I need it to continue to do so now throughout law school, yet I cannot afford to have the issue resolved with a heavy price tag attached. I'm hoping that since this is a known issue that HP has admitted to in the past that there is a less-pricey alternative to having to pay hundreds of dollars for.
