Re: 601 Battery issue on Hp startup

Hello,
I updated the BIOS of my laptop now after charging the battery to 100% and executing a "System extensive TEST" , I found out that first time the Battery check Passed, but when I executed it from Hp software diagnostics software It showed a WEAK result ( see attached screenshot )
Now I am encountering an odd behavior in my battery sometimes it drops from 70% to 0% randomly and the Discharge Counter is now showing 4/30 like the number of times this happened
Does this mean that after 30 discharges the battery would die and become useless that's really a shame because the laptop is just 2 years old only?

Hello @Praveenbv

Thanks for the instruction.
Removing the battery and replug it i am afraid that if I do that the battery would die for good ( because it happened with my old HP Pavillion Laptop and it's sad that it's happening again whit my current PC)
Also I Can't understand the issue it's giving false stats I left it at 40% now it 75% and then it drops to 0%

bonjour,

Pouvez vous me dire la mémoire ram que puisse installer? j'ai 4 GO de mémoire impossible de connaitre les caractéristique max de la ram sur le support en ligne.

Hard drive errors will result from failing or failed harddrives. You will need to replace the harddrive in your laptop.

Hi@Ben158, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand that you have an HP Notebook - 14-ck0079tu. I read that you had opened the laptop for cleaning purposes and tried to power it on without the fans connected. The laptop powered on then. But after connecting the fans, the laptop does not power on. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you. 

 

Do you see a light at the place where the charger connects to the laptop? If yes then it indicates that the charger is all fine.

 

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix: 

  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

 

If the laptop does not power on then please continue with the below steps:

  • Disconnect the charger and remove the battery out.
  • Connect only the battery and check if the laptop powers on.
  • Likewise, remove the battery out and connect only the charger and check if that helps.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

Upgrade RAM memory

Can you tell me how many slots of RAM my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl1XX has and what is the standard configuration that is shipped? I beleive I have 8GB of RAM and would like to upgrade to 16GB at least so your recommendations please for RAM upgrades.

I've tried to do a UK Crucial memory check and I can't  seem to find my model number in the options available. Again my PC  says it's HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl1XX. Are there other model numbers I should use?

HP laptop weeks late - not yet built?

Ordered an Elitebook on November 28th and received a response that it was to be shipped on 12-17, delivered 12-23. When it didn't show I checked the order status page - the dates of which have never changed even though it's now weeks overdue. It appears that it has still not been assembled based on the progress graph. Since the order status page says that I should have been contacted within a day if the ship date was missed, I became concerned when that didn't happen. In the last 3 weeks I've tried to find out more through chat (disabled), e-mail and phone. I've been on hold with customer service several times, waiting as long as 2+ hours before giving up. Two calls to my salesman have gone unanswered. When in desperation I called someone else in sales (strangely, they do pick up the phone), they were unable to help me, but claimed that they would arrange to have someone contact me within 48 hours - it's been over a week with no word. I can't believe that HP is this bad - have I somehow been scammed?

The collection of APIs provides DirectX-compatible programs with hardware-accelerated multimedia support. Among other things, DirectX provides the means for a program (game or other application) to determine your hardware capabilities and adapt its parameters to provide the best experience.

 

Many of the APIs present in the DirectX subsystem are mandatory and should be regarded as essential to everything from simple video playback to demanding 3D video games.

 

That out of the way, let's check which version of Direct X you've got:

Using this built-in Windows tool can be accessed on any Windows version by opening a Run box (Windows key + R) and typing “dxdiag“.

 

Updating your graphics card driver

The obvious place to start in order to solve the “DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine” error is to update your graphics card drivers. There are several ways to do so, but the ideal way to do it is using the HP Support Assistant: click here for details.

Re: HP 15s Battery completely discharges itself !

No, no operating system was used. These are bios battery values.

 

The battery was fully charged at 100 %.

The battery capacity was only at 92%, on a new device.

The battery discharged itself. After ~ one week, the battery was at 0% without any usage or operating system interference, the device was completely powered off.
