Is there a pattern of blinks? The troubleshooter here has a chart with blink codes as well as some things to try.

Re: Updating BIOS on a "2pe35ua#aba" laptop. Saving license location (to save onto USB) n
Hi,
I downloaded the Bios file on my PC and created the USB drive.
So first insert a USB drive (if it is not empty it might need to be formated, the Bios USB creation will take care of this)
Double click on the downloaded file
1
click on next
2
accept terms and click on next
3
click on next
4
check Create Recovery USB flash drive and click on next, In the next Windows it will ask you to choose the USB drive in the list (or insert USB drive) Highlight the USB drive you want to use and if necessary click on the button "format" Now click on next and you are done.

When you say the SSD is not recognized, do you mean you can not see in BIOS. Did you format (or clean with diskpart} before inserting in the PC. When you boot off the Windows installation disk it is not in list of available drives?
Hope it helps,
David

I bought a spectre x360 model 13-ae052nr in the United States and need a UK powercord
Current US replacement part number is 860209-850. Need replacement part number for UK
Re: I bought a spectre x360 model 13-ae052nr in the United States and need a UK powercord
Hi,
The ac adapter is the same for all countries as it accepts an input from 100-240V (so the part number is the same). So you would only need an adapter to convert the plug from US to UK or a new Duckhead cable from ac adapter to the wall socket which you should be able to find in any electronics store.
From your post I do not understand if the actual ac adapter is broken? If it is you can find online in the UK (not available in HP parts store)

HP 15-db0996na (4RD89EA) battery life short?
I have the HP 15-db0966na which has a Ryzen 5 2500u processor. This looks like a variant of the 15-da0038na which has all other specification the same except for the processor which is the i5-8250u.
I have noticed that whilst using the Ryzen 5 system the battery is consumed quote quickly compared to the old HP laptops I.e. with A8-6410 processor (hp p293na)1 Every time I look at the battery percentage it seems to be dropping very quickly.
I bought the Ryzen as it seemed to be equivalent to the i5 but offers an overall high boost speed and new Vega graphics. I have read that the AMD Radeon drivers for the Vega have not been updated from version 17.7 (the one that is currently installed), so is there any issue with that not being updated?
Can anyone tell me if this computer doesn't have a very long battery life or if the the processor is consuming too much power or if the i5 has a better battery life?

Re: Unknown device ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003
Hi
please follow this document below it should help fix the issue.
Re: Unknown device ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003
Can you provide an image of the device manager that also shows the device properties window open with the Details tab selected and the Hardware IDS selected? That will make the device information viewable.
See the following image for an example.

Re: Upgrade HP 15-ac026TX Laptop
Hi,
Regarding the HDD SSD and Optical Drive Caddy.
What if the SSD goes into the Main Drive Slot where the HDD is there currently and the HDD goes into the ODD Caddy.
Would this set up along be an improvement over HDD in current slot and SSD in ODD Caddy?
I have upgraded the RAM from 4 GB to 16GB(2*8) and its a great improvement.
Thanks
Sid
Re: Need a new HD; should I put in SSD 2.5" or M.2 or both?
Hi,
It is not going to make much difference. The M2 port on the PC support M2 SATA3 SSDs and the 2.5"SSD would also be SATA3. One of the best prize/performance SSDs is the Samsung 860 evo which comes in M2 format and as a 2.5" SSD and you can see in links below that they have the same speed:
https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/
I would go with the one you can find the best prize for and use only one with possible option to add another in the future.
Hope it helps,
David

Re: Unknown device ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003
This device is 0003 not 0004.
I've tried to install both files from your sugested document.
First is unsupported and the other one didn't change anything.
Upgrade limitations
Hello,
I would like to upgrade my notebook ZBook 15 G3 (SN# CND7214B1S) with 16 GB RAM (2x8GB) and 500GB SSD. I would like to add second M.2 SSD (1T or 500GB) and 2TB HDD 2.5" as well . Is it possible? According documentations, there are not any limitations. Is it true? Are there any limitations, which I have not found and dont know so far?

HP 14-am004tx can add more SSD M.2 HDD or not?
Hi there,
I would like to ask that currently I'm using HD 14-am004tx with original HDD.
However, I am wondering that can I add more M.2 SSD to the Laptop?
And still using the original as well.
Meaning that SSD+HDD in the laptop.
Thank you so much.
