Grinding noise from fans
Hi all, I've bought an HP Victus 15 in november 2022. Everything was fine until like a month of so, when I started a videogame and the laptop started making a grinding noise. I rebooted and everything went back to fine for a while.
Except two weeks ago the grinding noise came back worse than before. it starts up at random times, sometimes when I'm playing, sometimes when I'm not even in front of my laptop.
I've cleaned it and today when I opened it to clean it better I've discovered that the culprit is the fan on the left. What's the problem? From a quick glance (without disassembling the fans) it doesn't seem to be anything dislodged/not tightened enough, but I haven't disassembled the fan unit in order to avoid any damage.
Also I regularly monitor the temperatures and according to the omen gaming hub they go between 30° and 90° (celsius) depending on what I'm doing, so I think the fan is still doing its job.
I'm a bit worried it's something that could cause some long lasting damage to the machine, so please help me understanding what the problem is and how to proceed from there.

Can you upgrade a CPU of a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx
I was wondering if the CPU of a HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx was soldered on the motherboard so that i could find a new CPU like an i7 intel CPU, so that my computer can run better, I was also gonna get some other stuff to upgrade it, but right now i need to know if it is soldered or not so that i can upgrade it.

Very laud noise of fan hp espectre x360
I have hp especre x360 for around 5 years. First I had issue with some of the keyboard keys. Now I have a non-stop laud noise of fan.
I paid around 2000 euro for this pc and of course I will never buy HP again.

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard.
The only way to upgrade the processor would be to replace the motherboard with one that is listed in chapter 3 of the service manual that may come with a better processor.

Hi, sorry for the slow reply.
I did a battery test and it states that the design capacity is 83 MHr whilst the actual capacity is only 78 MHr, this doesnt seem like a massive difference but maybe this could be why im seeing a lot less battery?

thanks for the reply, but none of this is going to fix it, I troubleshoot computers for a living and have already tried all those. I’m mainly posting here in hopes others are having the same problem and HP will look into it. I’m not counting on anything because I have had nothing but firmware related issues with this machine. Never buying another HP

G5 docking station resolution issues
Hello. Have a g5 docking station from work. I have 3 displays connected to it however no matter what configuration I do, I can't seem to get them to their proper settings. I have the following"
2 samsung that are 1920x1080 75 hz 1 lg ultramodern that is 3440x1440 160hz.
I can get all 3 to 1920x1080, but the lg will only be 60hz, one samsung will be 60 hz and the second samsung will be 75 hz.
I can get the lg to 3440x1440 60 hz when connected via hdmi, but one of the samsung will be 1280 x 800 50 hz. I'm using the hdmi and dp that came in the boxes.
Any ideas are appreciated. Tia!

HP 255 G10 Fan speed
HI i bought this laptop for a second station,
it performs pretty well for such a low power device.
One thing thats annoying is, that its fan is spinning up way to strong.
Does HP have any way to control the FAN speed for this model?
I basically tried all the software available- from HP and outside, but i believe this line up has no fan controls exposed?
Which is a shame.
And before anyone asks, with the current powerplan the CPU runs at 1.5GHZ.
Where the base speed is 2GHZ. And even then the FAN goes fullblow for some time and i really hate this.

Thank you so much, I might print this so that whenever it needs service, i can do it myself, Instead of sending it to the repair shop. I read the whole chapter 3, I will try and find one, and maybe upgrade my storage. Thanks so much!

Screw size for hinge and bottom case
Hi. I lost the screws to the hinge and back cover of my laptop. I need help in the correct size of screws so they can be replaced. The laptop model is HP EliteBook 735 g6. Thank you in advance.

Issue after giving to service center
I own a HP omen 15-ek0015tx.
1. After a suggestion from Hp customer executive on call, I took my laptop to an Authorized Hp Dealer to get a new ram installed.
2. Before Installation the HP Authorized Dealer took a picture and then installed New Ram.
3. The Laptop didn't boot up and the power button kept blinking, so I took the laptop to the Service center.
4. The next day they say my motherboard has thermal issues but as I already have the picture of the laptop before giving it to the service center you can clearly see no thermal issue on the motherboard.
5. You can see from the before and after picture there is a clear difference. Before no such issue existed, but after there was a burn on my motherboard. Also the original screws were different after coming from the service center.
Kindly zoom in on the pictures and see the difference between before and after pictures. See there's no issue on the motherboard and also the original screws are missing.
Despite multiple complaints all I'm getting to hear is kindly wait for 24-48 hours. This has been the case for a month now. All my work has come to a halt. I have sent mails, sent the pictures and mentioned the time to prove my points but they don't do anything. Giving my laptop to the service center has been the worst decision for me, even after clear signs of mishandling they don't solve my issue.
Moreover they have informed my issue as no power issue and thermal issue which is completely false. My only issue was power button is blinking but laptop is not booting. They have completely written false information "No power Issue" and from the pictures you can see the motherboard clearly.![After.jpg]( "After.jpg")

i had windows 11 normally but now it won't accept them
good morning, my father has a laptop HP Notebook - 15-db1003nv, he bought it with windows 10..it was running very well, had come and upgrade windows 11, I installed it without any problem, it met all the requirements.. But suddenly while it was connected to wifi, it kept disconnecting.He took it to a technician, I don't know what he did, he switched it back to windows 10, obviously with a format and since then, while it was running windows 11 normally, now it doesn't even get the upgrade. I don't know what the technician did and what he did wrong.I run the tool to see if it gets windows 11 and it shows me to turn on secure mode.I go into bios,turn off legasy,turn on secure boot but when it starts in uefi it says "install an operating system on your hard disk"..what else should I do?
