And accidentialy wipe out backup driver partition and want download drivers. but the website cant give drivers its says "We were unable to retrieve the list of drivers for your product. Please select the desired operating system and select “Update” to try again."

Hi, yesterday I put my laptop on my desk with the screen nothing wrong with it, after looking away from he screen for a second i found that there was suddenly a spider crack at the top of my screen next to the built in camera. one fine crack runs right down my screen it dosn't seem to be my mouse at the moment but iv no idea how this could have happened.
I'v had my laptop about a year and a half now. the price i payed i was gutted to find it brake with out me doing anything nor anyone else
were can i sent it to be repaired id rather it be by HP or a HP approved repair service. i am willing to install a new touch screen my self if i can buy a new screen but iv no idea were i could buy from that is HP approved or other wise prefer an HP approved as theres nothing else wrong with my laptop.
any help with how this could have happened and were i can get it fixed would be appreciated ^^

Hinge issue (now both) on dm4-1050ea
An additional thing I noticed before hinges became detached from screen assembly/top cover was that they had become increasingly stiff; I daren't move the lid for fear of snapping the attachment - which is what did happen. So in my case I am of the opinion it wasn't the weak anchor that was the root cause, it was the hinges locking up. Of course, the screen became damaged down the left hand side for a bout a 1cm width strip but the screen is actually useable at a push, if it it is carefully supported. The anchor point on top cover may have failed in due course anyway, of course.
My (simple) solution to the issue, having had a difficult time even communicating the HP support group who were unable to help in the end, at any cost less than buying a new computer (HP seem really only interested in selling their latest and [not their most expensive tho'] expensive models) (I think this was early 2015 so well out of warranty), was to get a larger external screen 21.5" (about 60 GBP), wireless k/b and mouse (10 GBP) and and an HDMI cable (2 GBP), connect it up, and now I have a fixed computer and screen with a k/b & mouse that I can use from my armchair, with a nice big screen. The system isn't portable oof course, but I found a 2kg weight a bit awkward to carry about anyway.
I found a youtube video which involved the hole drilling, which it seems is the best way of solving this problem but I can't give ref. because my mmy HP with it has just failed. Sorry. My other dm4s are ok so far...but I've not used them much (all second hand)

No, you can't simply swap the CPU, you have to buy new motherboard (if available) with CPU. This is a very, very, very expensive upgrade. Please read a list of motherboars on page 48 of the following manual.

According to Newegg, my laptop: Probook 470 G4 - Z1Z75UT#ABA has a backlit keyboard. Best I can tell it does not.
HP Premium Keyboard, full-sized, backlit, chiclet, spill resistant with numeric keypad.
I'm curious about 2 options:
1) What would it cost me to buy this laptop from HP directly with the backlit keyboard?
2) What does the backlit keyboard itself cost?
3) Is this the correct part number for the U.S. 827029-001?
I would like to increase my RAM from its current 6 GB to 16 GB. I believe I've found a compatible SODIMM on Amazon, but before I order it I would like to make sure I can install it myself. I've made a couple of attempts to remove the back case of my laptop, but none of my screwdrivers (even the tiny precision ones) are working for the two Philips PM2.0×2.0 screws in the optical bay. The manual doesn't say what screwdriver to use. Does anyone know which screwdriver I need, or am I going to have to pay a professional to do this for me?
