x360 Spectre - keyboard bulging, separating from base
I have an x360 Spectre convertible laptop purchased in 2017 (warranty has expired). The keyboard/trackpad panel is separating from the base and is bowed. It's very noticeable. Was in Best Buy today and asked the Geek Squad about this. They were alarmed and said I need to get rid of this laptop right away, that the battery is swelling and could possibly explode or catch fire. I've run the test to determine if the battery is part of the HP battery recall and it is not (www.HP.com/go/batteryprogram2018 ). Online searches suggest its possible to remove the battery and either replace it or run the computer w/out the battery using the power cord.
I'm looking for advice on whether it's safe to attempt to replace the battery or if I really do need to dispose of this laptop and buy a new one.

HP SUPPORT
I need to contact HP support but since i am out of warranty there is no number.
I know most of you are going to reply "We cannot provide a number to hp" but let me give you a background on what happened.
I have a HP-Pavilion x360 that I had bought in November 2018, but just recently, the hinge separated from the screen. There are other individuals on the forum that had the same problem, that had bought it at the exact same time period as me, and they got it fixed for free, So I am certain this is a manufacturing issue.
Therefore if someone could just give me the number, I would really appreciate it.

Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.
Your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's, not NVMe.

Max q design nvidia
Hi, I bought this laptop about 2 months ago which has a 1660 ti MAX Q DESIGN as its video card, but when I enter the control panel I have the same settings as on a laptop video card. And besides, somehow I can't go from 16: 9 to 4:30 without black bars. I tried every possibility on youtube and none worked. Why am I writing this post now? Well, it's frustrating to pay 1,436.21 Euros on a laptop and not be able to change its resolution according to my gaming preferences. I saw that at Gaming HP OMEN 17 in nvidia settings, it's the settings I'm looking for, and the difference between my laptop and that one is that it contains 2060 max q designs. Opinions?

Yeah, no thanks. I'm not going to send you people my laptop so you can charge me $400 to spend 6-8 weeks doing a diagnostic only to tell me that the motherboard is going bad and needs to be replaced for $300. I've heard that HP uses cheap motherboards and now my laptop is pretty much **bleep**ed because of it. A $1000 laptop should last a lot longer that 3 years. This will be my last HP product unless you people decide to do what is right and stand behind your **bleep**ty product, but I seriously doubt that will happen.

Can someone please help me in ascertaining if this battery TE04XL is fake or not? And is it compatible with my OMEN HP 15-ax248tx ?
Purchased it from a local store in my area MANIPUR, INDIA because the HP service center for some preposterous reason cannot procure the battery for as they say my laptop's warranty period has expired and there is some issues with their system.
Right off the bat, i.e purchased it on 30-01-2021, HP Support Assistant wants me to calibrate the battery. So I calibrated the battery using STEPS 3&4 from https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04700771#AbT2 . Even after all that HP still requires me to calibrate the battery. Hi:
The service manual linked to your notebook's support page does not cover the newer models.
HP 14s-cf3000 Laptop PC series Manuals | HP® Customer Support
If you look at chapter 1 of the service manual for the older models, the M.2 slot supports NVMe drives, so I would have have to assume that your notebook's M.2 slot would also support NVMe drives.
