Max RAM can be installed on OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx
Hi, it's been a year I'm using OMEN HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx, with original installed RAM of 16GB (8GB x 2).
I just want to know how much RAM can I installed on my Laptop? Can I install a total of 64GB (32GB x2) DDR4 PC-2666 SO-DIMM on this OMEN HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx?

In short, with its current max capacity, it's pretty much toast anyhow. Calibration might help give you a better indication of how much battery you have left and how long it will run, but it'll still probably die before it says it's going to anyhow.
For the long-term health of a Lithium-Ion battery, it should ideally be charged no higher than 80% and discharged no lower than 20%, but that only gives you 60% of the operating capacity. This is what electric vehicles use since battery size isn't a huge factor and battery longevity is more important. For laptops, even if you don't consistently charge/discharge it and always leave it plugged in, they're only good for 2-3 years typically. Keeping Lithium-ion batteries full essentially damages them.

Model Spec difference
Hi
Looking at purchase of HP OMEN model number 17-cb1523na from currys. However Amazon have this model 17-cb1003na slightly cheaper with free next day delivery. The specs appear to be the same . Are they? Looks like the only difference is netflix is installed on one and not the other , just wanted to confirm that and see if anybody has come across this

Your notebook's M.2 slot only supports SATA M.2 SSD's not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

The specs listed for the laptop say that RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 16GB
Maximum Memory Supported 16 GB
I am actually okay with the RAM running at 2133 mhz.
I am actually worried about the compatibilty issue as once these are bought you cannot return them.

HP Spectre 360 Cloud Recovery Problem
Hello,
I'd like to replace the hard drive on my HP Spectre 360, model 13-4197dx. When I check my notebook product number (V8T98UA#ABA) on the the HP cloud recovery check website, the website reports that cloud recovery is not available for my notebook.
What options are available for me to replace the hard drive? Should I download windows 10 from microsoft?

Hi:
If your PC has Intel Optane memory, then the M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD's, because Optane memory requires an NVMe controller.
The drive spec is the very common M.2 2280.
Chapter 1 of the service manual has the supported drive types.
Before you install a NVMe SSD, you have to first disable the Intel Optane memory in the IRST software and also in the BIOS.

I resorted to 'resetting this PC' and keeping files. That solved the problem and the hardware reserved ram dropped to 80mb. The laptop is now fixed and runs as it should.

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to check to get to know its hardware is faulty, not a software issue.
I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.

Yes, I recommend that you use the Microsoft media creation tool to create a bootable W10 installation flash drive and then install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
I double checked your notebook's product number and also got the same result...not supported.
That is odd because the cloud recovery info is listed on your notebook's support page, usually indicating it would be supported.

Are you saying I should get 4GB more RAM, or because I already have 6GB, adding more won't do any good? Any why is that? I think most everyday people would think more RAM = more speed

p.s. if I should add 4GB RAM, it seems I would have to replace the 6GB with 16GB anyway (8GB x 2). If I changed it to 4GB x 2 I would only be adding 2GB to what I already have, and I don't think there are any sizes in between
