It sounds like you have Upgraded to Windows 8.1, yes? It does not really matter, although if you did recently upgrade your Operating System, do make sure you have all your Windows Updates installed before you continue.

You may be running on an outdated version of SimplePass and for tips on troubleshooting.
You do want to be running on the latest version for 6. At writing this is version 6.0.100.276.
- See the following guide to Update to the latest 6.x version of HP SimplePass.
- Skip the "Start Here" part at the top of the document.
- Skip any busines about series 8 -- you want to stay with the latest version in series 6.
Open the file > Click on Download > Click “Open in Adobe Reader”
