I understand that your notebook is overheating. Here is a link, to assist you with Troubleshooting an Overheating and Auto Shutdown Issue.
You can run diagnotics to test for hardware failure. Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8).
If this is not resolved, as the notebook is less then 1 yr old, it should still be in warranty. You can contact HP support for assistance. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836.
