What is the complete product name or product number of the notebook? It isn't HP2000.

If you remove the battery and plug in the power adapter that is connected to a household power outlet, the power led should come on and remain on.
Press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds to perform a hard reset.
Release the button and then press it again.
If the notebook does not power on, then you do need to contact HP for warranty service.
